How To Avoid the Tracking of Your Mobile

Avoid Phone tracking

Keeping your phone safe from hackers and illegitimate trackers is an important thing. Many of us install apps without any hesitation and then can be susceptible to certain attacks which can invade your privacy. Some apps which you download, ask you certain permissions which we accept without even having a look at it. When you give such grants, the app can then be tracking your data and other personal information which can fall into the wrong hands. Your personal data can be sold to people who can use it and make benefits out of it. In this article we will look at some of the ways in which you can avoid the tracking of your mobile.

  • Provide Information to only necessary apps: The apps which you download on your phone may or may not need certain information. Some apps ask for many permissions like access to photos, calls and other media which you wouldn’t prefer giving. Check the apps which are accessing the information and then try to determine whether you actually need to give it the permissions or not. If not, then you can block these apps from accessing your information. Only provide information to the necessary apps which you can trust your details with. Some notorious apps access your data and sell it to other people, which comes under tracking. These people then try to sell their product to you based on the information they have received from these apps.
  • Be aware of your actions: After downloading an app, a person will blindly give permissions to the app to access you data and location which can be used for tracking the user. Some of location permissions give to the app can also find your location and this information can be used for wrong purposes. After using an app, make sure that you shut it down completely. If it keeps running in the background, it can still access all your information without you being aware of it. Also at the time of granting permissions, try granting the app the permissions only once. By doing this the app cannot be constantly accessing you data after it is shut down. The app will again have to ask for permissions the next time you use it.
